How long do hair extensions last?
One of the important questions: how long do the extensions last? This depends on the quality of the hair and how the extensions are handled. In general, you should only use high-quality human hair for hair extensions. Synthetic hair is absolutely unsuitable for permanent hair extensions. There are also differences in human hair: Remy and non-Remy. We explain the term "Remy" in the corresponding article. Once you have made the right choice in terms of hair quality, the second important aspect remains: caring for the hair extensions correctly. The more gently you treat the extensions, the longer you can wear them. Anything that strains the hair shortens their lifespan. If the hair is of good quality and the hair extensions are well cared for, you can wear the hair extensions for up to twelve months without any problems. They have to be moved up regularly, of course. However, if the hair is straightened several times a week, exposed to direct sunlight, or attacked by salt or chlorinated water, the lifespan is dramatically shortened. Suitable care products provide relief and protection. Choosing the right care products is indispensable anyway.
