Ideal for fine or thin hair

Single tapes allow you to apply a single tape-in strand. They are not designed for the sandwich method. Installing tape-ins individually is ideal for fine hair, as the weight of the extensions is halved. This reduces the strain on the roots of your natural hair. The extra-strong adhesive ensures that the extensions stay securely in place without causing damage to your natural hair. It is recommended to use tape pliers for the single method.

Anwendung:

Single sided tapes allow you to apply tape-extensions individually (no sandwich method). Tape-in extensions always require a counterpart so that they can adhere to your natural hair. In order to be able to glue the tape-in individually, it must have double-sided adhesive already on it. (Newly purchased tape-in extensions come with the double sided strips already applied.) With the "single method", you do not put two pieces of tape-ins ontop of each other: instead, one tape-strand is applied to the natural hair and a single-sided tape must be placed on the other side.

Use tape pliers to press them firmly together.

Why the right choice of adhesive strips is crucial

These tape strips are cut to the exact size of our tape-in extensions (0.8 cm x 4 cm / 0.31" x 1.57" per strip), meaning they are ready to use straight away. It is important that the adhesive strips match the size of the base of the extensions. Note: If you need replacement adhesive to re-tape your extensions after removal, single-sided adhesive is not suitable. Please do not apply single tapes directly to the extension. They should only be used as a counterpart for the "single method." For re-taping, you can use our blue replacement tapes, super tapes, or flex tapes.

For which situations is the single method suitable?

Fine/sensitive hair:
By placing the tape-in extensions individually, the weight of the extension is halved which reduces the strain on the roots of the hair. However, if you are suffering from severe hair loss or your natural hair is severely damaged, it is best not to use any extensions at all. In such cases, hair and scalp must recover first.
In Combination with the sandwich method:
It is also possible to use double tape strands, for example, at the back of the head and use the single method on the sides. Some people have finer and more sensitive hair on the sides/near the contours. The strands can then be glued individually in these places as required.
If there are individual strands left:
For example, if you only have two single strands left at the end of a hair extension and want to place one on the left and one on the right side of your head, this can be done using single tapes.

Installing hair extensions should only be done by trained professionals.

Preparing the hair:
Make sure the natural hair is clean and dry before starting with the install. Residues from styling products or oils can affect the adhesion of the glue.
Positioning:
Section the hair. It is important that there is neither too much nor too little of the natural hair between the tape-extension and the single-tape.
Place the tape-extension on the outside and the single sided tape on the inside. Especially with invisible tapes, it is important that the single sided strip is not positioned on the outside but on the inside so that the 'invisible effect' is not lost.
Securing the tapes:
We recommend using tape pliers to press the tapes together. Under no circumstances should you use a hair straightener on the adhesive.
After installation
We recommend not washing your hair for 48 hours after installment. Please follow our care instructions regarding washing and handling the hair extensions. Only suitable care products should be used. Products such as oil, conditioner or similar things can cause the glue to slip if they come into direct contact with the bonds.

Can the tapes be removed without leaving residue?
