Keratin bond extensions are a real classic among the types of hair extension. The hair strands included in the delivery are pre-bonded (U-tip) and can be attached to your own hair using heat irons or ultrasound.
Extensions with keratin bonds should be moved up after approximately 3-4 months. How long the individual wear period is depends on hair growth, among other things. Careful care and a well-executed cleaning cut also play a role. With good care and regular upkeep, the extensions can be used for up to a year before they need to be replaced with new hair.
To remove the extensions you need a bond remover and a removal pliers - you can find both in our shop in the "Accessories" category. In order to be able to use the strands again, new keratin is required. The old bond is cut off and the new keratin is put in its place. The strand can then be reattached to your hair. Our extensions can be removed and reattached several times. If you use our care products and follow the care instructions, nothing will stand in the way of you wearing your extensions for a long time.

Installing Keratin Bond Extensions

Bonded extensions should ideally only be applied by someone with prior knowledge and experience. However, if you are familiar with hair extensions, you can follow these steps:

• First, section the client's hair.
• Take a strand of hair approximately the same thickness as one extension piece.
• Thread a protective stencil onto the separated strand.
• Once the stencil is in place, position the extension strand with the U-opening facing upwards, close to the scalp.
• The keratin is then melted using a heat iron.
• Once heated up, the keratin is rolled and shaped between the fingers.
• Repeat the process until all the hair has been processed.

Care Tips for Keratin Bond Extensions

• Extensions should never be brushed from top to bottom – instead, start at the tips and carefully work your way up.
